It lives

Post by PioneerX »

Just to keep everyone upto date. My engine finally lives :D

Vauxhall 18SE (1800 8v Carlton Variant) on twin Dellorto DHLA40's and of cause a Megajolt ready assembles from Brent (Thanks mate).

The MAP I used is avalible in the files section of my website http://www.performancelocost.co.uk/files for anyone who would like it.

I will be posting pictures of the installation over the next few days onto the main site http://www.performancelocost.co.uk/ but once everything was connected, oil, water & fuel supplied she started on the thrid turn, not bad for an engine taken from a wreck over a year ago.

excellent!

I see you've taken apart the unit. :)

If you could, please post your ignition configuration under the 'files' section on this site- upload the file that the MJLJ tuning software generates upon a file|save.

thanks,
Brent

Resistance is futile

Brent,

Yep, I couldnt resist. Besides I wanted to post photos what would help peeple who were building there own and when I first wired it up, I wanted to 100% sure I was connecting power to the right place. I have to say the workmanship is fantastic and it interfaced with the computer the very first time I powered it up. I was much impressed.

I will post the config file into the files section when I next pull it back from the MJLJ as I do not store it on my everyday laptop. I use a dedicated one for interfacing.

The link to upload files is right at the top- 'files'.

Let me know if it works for you, I think I have it set up correctly, but I'm not 100% sure.

thanks,

Brent,

Maybe there is an account permission thing you have missed as when I click the Files selction s I can see yours, but have no options to upload my own - only add comments to yours.

I have a screen shot http://212.159.117.139/performancelocos ... 20Shot.jpg so you can see what I see.

Ah, the design isn't intuitive.

under your options, click the 'create content' link. There you will be able to upload a file.

I'll see what we might be able to do about making that more discoverable..
