Has anyone integrated a TPMS yet?

From searching the forum it doesn't look like it. I've done some research and have found a couple of interesting things.

This system uses bluetooth, I wonder if it's possible to make it talk to the race capture. I don't like the idea of the screw-on sensors though, more things to go wrong.

These guys seem to offer a system with canbus ability, but has screw on sensors as well.

Both FOBO and tyrepal offer a T-fitting so you can still adjust the air in the tire easily. Maybe locktite the sensor onto the t fitting for good measure.

Orange offers a variety of systems with internal sensors

This one also uses bluetooth:

This one doesn't appear to have any interface to try to tap into but otherwise looks nice.

This one is meant for trucks and has canbus interface, but I can't find anywhere to purchase the components

Hello,

Yes, we have one user contribute a CAN mapping for the Brightwater TPMS system, and it was working well for them. Here is the information:

Hope this helps,

Interesting. I found that article a while back, they don't seem to have any sales information on the website. I'm guessing it's expensive, I was hoping for a way to integrate a cheaper consumer-grade system...

Hi, folks!
We are actually testing TPMS systems in combination with RaceCapturePro.

Next to some road tests the systems will be further tested under track conditions within the upcoming weeks
...more to come soon!

What TPMS system are you using? I am very interested in this for my ChumpCar racecar.

It's not a system you can buy yet but here are some preliminary infos:
  • 1 Mbit CAN speed (like most motorsport CAN devices),
    CAN 2.0B with 29bit identifier,
Internal or external sensors, both with higher refresh rates than the average sensors commercially available,
Quick sensor learning with dedicated CAN commands, which will be generated by the RCP script
If you are interested then drop me a pm with your email for further details.
