VR/Crank sensor positioning

Post by stappinuk »

I have a problem where I need to mount the sensor at tdc but the anti roll bar will clatter it once the car is dropped (arrrgghh!)

So I have two questions:

1: are there any shorter sensors I could use as mines too long?

2: can the sensor be mounted side on to the trigger wheel to detect the gap?

Cheers

Simon

Im sure the Mazda sensor I smaller not sure what car it's from though

The sensor can be mounted begin the pulley so it goes through the gaps if you know what I mean

Did you mean behind? Am I right in saying the sensor has to be mounted at TDC?

The later Zetec sensors are shorter, mines out of a late Ford Fiesta.
