GT6 Work In Progress.

Post by AndreGT6 »

I've been waiting to finish this project since 2006, will be running on the MJLJ in for 2009.

Recently ordered a rev limiter to work with my V2 box. Long term plan will be to get the Triumph working on a V2 box, then order a V4 and use the V2 as a spare.

I will finish off the mounting hardware and clean up my the trigger wheel install.

Looking forward to getting the gear fully installed.

Next big job will be tapping the intake for MAP.

Over the holidays I'll tap my intake and then install it.

Ok hard rev limiter installed, as well a power led and an option profile switch.

Tested the switch on the software and it works. Yeah.

Next task will be to reinstalled the trigger sensor and do a trial run in the driveway.

Tonight I did the final wiring and fired the GT6 up on the MJLJ box.

Right away no issues. Then played with the rev limiter

Some more progress.

Converted a tach from mech to digital so I could use the "tach out" on the MJLJ. This allowed me to alter an old work out dizzy into a venting port so I can vent the crank.

I'm going to run in the system while I figure out how to get the old needle to work. It was a little too big and heavy for the electronic gauge. Its close enough and works.

Next big task will be to fine tune the system once the roads open up.

I really want to redo the wiring and shorten a few cables.
