Cool. Is there any way to see it on race-capture.com?

We don't have a technique for automatic backfilling, yet. working on that! :) Cool :-) It looks like the GPS data was pretty good overall judging by the lap times despite the missing data. The charts in the summary where satellites go to zero - is that when you came in after a session? Ah! Quite po...

Thanks Brent. I'm using the internal telemetry. I'm not sure what the signal was like at the circuit (the signal on my 'phone was a bit patchy, but I use a different network on my phone from the one I'm using for the RCP). Is there any way to log signal strength? The car is a mid-engined spaceframe ...

Yeah, unfortunately I don't have a scope to hand. I'll see if I can source one.

It's connected to the ECU's tacho output (i.e. the output that goes to the tacho on the bike).

GPS data on race-capture.com

So I've just been looking at the data that was sent to race-capture during the shakedown I did yesterday. Mostly it seems pretty reasonable, but I'm surprised at the accuracy (or lack thereof) of the GPS data. This is the event: http://www.race-capture.com/events/796523e5-a5d2-497b-bd4e-7d6f11093838...

So I got to test this "in anger" for the first time yesterday, and the good news it that it works. The bad news is that I don't know *why* it works, which worries me. It turns out that to get an accurate reading, we had to go with the following settings: Channel Mode: RPM Timer Speed: Slow...

Thanks - I think that confirms that my understanding as expressed in my original message is correct?

Right now, I'm just trying to work out what the situation is. I've not really thought about what it *should* be yet :-)

When does logging start

This feels like a stupid question, but I can't find anything definitive anywhere in the documentation. When, exactly, does logging start? I've got an RCP2 with integrated telemetry. I *think* I'm right in saying that, if I have telemetry setup and "background streaming" on, logging is stre...

Wrong country for track

The Rockingham "International Super Sportscar Circuit" is reported as being in the US, not the UK:

We just managed to fix this—turned out that we were using one of the coil outputs as the input, not the tacho output as I thought. We've just switched to the tacho output, and everything's working fine :-)

New install - RPM weirdness

I'm installing an RCP into a Jedi (motorcycle-engined single seater). All the analog sensors (water temp, oil pressure, etc.) are working fine, but we can't get anything sensible for RPM. The engine is a K8 Suzuki GSXR 1000. We've got the ECU's tachometer output wired directly to the first Pulse/RPM...

Thanks Brent, I should be able to mount it easily enough with the aerial vertical. The current plan is to mount the RCP on the backside of the dashboard (nicely central—just over my knees :-) And there should be enough room. We just need to fabricate a "wedge" to make sure that it's proper...

The currently released android app in the google play store doesn't have the range configurable. However, we're unifying the app you see on the desktop with the mobile app, this will have full channel configurability, including the alert ranges you can already do in the desktop app. Hang tight, we'...

Telemetry aerial

I need to work out the best mounting for my RCP. One consideration is the telemetry aerial—how important is it that the aerial is vertical? There are only certain RCP orientations where it can be vertical, are these the only ones that I should seriously consider?

Thanks,
