Needless to say the engine runs as sweet as can be, and all the 3500+rpm misfire has been dialed out (we assume the mallory was giving stupid amounts of advance when all in, and no matter how much we tried, we couldn't lose it! and the dizzy had been played with, so no idea what it was set up to!) t...

we arranged the coils packs on the pad that did support the air con, but as this needed a major overhaul, and never worked anyway, it was used to mount the coils! and it made the cableing of the plug leads nice and neat!

yup, it's the washer bottle... it was 'piggy stick' cider bottle before that!

it was just an unusual/cool can I found when I wanted a new washer bottle! i suspect the washer fluid tastes better tho!

if you look at the map when you floor the throttle, and you'll see where the stutter is on the table/map... the highlighted 'active' box will dwell on the appropriate load location.... tweak the values in that location, and you might lose the stutter completely...... i got rid of most of my hesitati...

we've thought about megajolting my dad's V6 alpine, the only way we can think of is to use 2 edis 6 units, and treat the engine as 2 3 cylinder engines, one edis for each bank. gets a single coil per plug too! the megajolt will receive the signal from one edis, and output the timing correction to bo...

yup, that's a burnt out track, however, just unplugging the mjlj should have put the edis into fixed 10deg limp mode.

the cause....? probably not trimming the component leads after assembly!

just for future reference, rover SD1 v8's have a single pole change-over oil pressure switch, 3 terminals internally switched, for the fuel pump control as standard. i know this, as it's what is fitted on mine!!! :-) you could get much the same effect using a standard oil pressure switch triggering ...
