Absolutely, MJ2 would be able to achieve this having 2 ADC inputs.

If you didn't change the calibration, you would still have the raw data there, you would just need to be able to change it into legible (easier to read) data.

So here is the hack, The red circled component (resistor) is to be replaced with a link. The green circled component (capacitor) is removed. Hopefully this will now make the tacho work with the MJLJ tacho out. The resistor is a 33K Ohm resistor and there are 2 of them before the signal reaches the c...

VW Mk1 Golf Tacho Modification

As broke4speed was trying to get his tacho to work after fitting a megajolt system I thought I would start a post on how to do a conversion. This is at the experimental stage at the moment and hopefully we will be able to make the megajolt unit tach output work with cars original clocks. I apologise...

Bossie - What tach is the car out of or what type of Tacho is it??? Have you had any luck recently getting it to work yet?? I believe the spec's of the tach out signal on the megajolt is 0V - 12V square wave. Broke4speed - I had a look at the tach I have in my cabin and I believe that it is achievea...

Parky Yes you could do this but then you would have to change the values of the aux input. You would be able to observe a change but the value you have inputted for the AFR and CTS (Coolant Temperature Sensor) would be different and to get an accurate readout you would have to go into the software a...

Hi Blister, did you get this sorted ?. I have the same issue with a V3 Controller. I have tried a lap top with a "proper" serial port and still no joy. Like you I have verified the COM setting but can't get the pc & the controller to talk to each other. I am also trying to save the co...

Re: me again megajolt questions!

1. do i need to change any pins etc? 2. can megajolt just be powered up but does it have to be connected to the edis to know the cylinder count? 3. i dont have access to any serial ported pc's what is my best bet as i need to make my laptop work because i will need to take it down to my local rolli...

Broke4speed - you not got your tach working?? I have a spare in my room at work which I'm sure can be modded to work and I can send you a 'How to'. I have done it on a 205gti before.

Sunray, I think some systems could well be retro fitted. I can't say I personally have had any experience with abs, but fundamentally they work by detecting movement on a wheel via a triggerwheel. If the trigger wheel stops then the system will not detect any wheel movement (hence skidding) and so r...

Ok, its been a while but we have dates the meet has to be between, which are between 6th until 16th August.

Does anyone know of a generic event where most megajolt users can attend at this time.

Any ideas considered please.

8.14v should be fine, think my little PP3 battery is pushing out about 7.5V and the mjlj still operates ok.

Wow, that is interesting.

A turbo FPR should be fine as a temporary measure, as most FPR on EFI's regulate at 3 Bar max.

Ouch, sounds like you have some wigglies in your loom although a very strange one. Mind you for the age of car it can be expected. When I took ownership of one of my golfs it had no less than 20 single choc blocks dotted all around the loom, so I think I will produce my own loom in time and make it ...
