also if you are unlucky you will get £15 or so import tax if the government feel like being mean! go for the online shop, pound is stil quite strong, think mine worked out at jsut over £80 delivered plus of course the import tax!

what about on that type of tacho, running the power feed to the coils thru the tacho rather than pairing the earths with diodes or something! also i was wondering, if u removed the original coil from the system, put power on the dizzy and left the points and condensor in place, could that be used to...

in searching for the said picture i came across this picture of the balancing pipes of an R1 carb that were fitted to a honda powered elise! nice to see how a manufacturere routs the vacuum pipes!

there has been some discussion on this, some have found success without the zener diode i think, others coundnt get it to work at all! i think you'll have trouble with that type unless sum1 has a new conversion circuit that will make use of the tacho output from the megajolt!

i think they give tolerances to which the engine will stil run ok because as a manufacturer they will only give a rough setup to each engine as oppose to setting it up perfectly as u will eventually do with the megajolt! that is bad english i know but its late!

just a thought but if we are all positioning our VR sensors slightly differently (even by a couple of mm) then programming the MJLJ accordingly, if ur changing maps from car to car with the same spec engine it mite be helpfull to be able to actually set TDC in the programming rather than have to adv...

aahh i see, explains a bit. the edis modules on there at the mo are literally setup with power and have the vr sensors positioned to give you the correct timing. have i got that right? very clever i must say. well im a beginner to all this but 1 megajolt and 1 edis with split leads (2 sparks on each...
