Lap selection for Best and Sector time data for Time Trials

I do time trials, and often my fastest lap that I'm trying to beat is not going to be in the same logging session because it happened in an earlier session during the weekend. This makes sector time deltas that are currently only based on my current logging session a bit less useful.
I'd like to request that we be given the option to select a given lap from existing data to display as current best but also for the sector time deltas so I can have an actual status of my current lap vs my best. Of course it would be overwritten if I happen to beat it in the current logging session, but otherwise should stay locked on my selected lap info until manually changed.
