Megajolt coil

Hi everyone

I have a Megajolt system fitted into my mini rally car, it has been running perfectly. I have just completed the fitting of a new engine and now I can't get the engine to run. It starts but does not seem to be able to idle and it does not sound that it is running on all cylinders. The motor was fully running when it was removed from another mini.

I have replaced the spark plugs, checked the tappet gaps and checked that the trigger was at the correct position (9th tooth at tdc) there is a spark to the plugs, but it does seem very very weak and the frequency seems strage.

Here are some videos of the 4 plugs

Can I have your views as to wether this spark is normal, and how I can sort this out. I need to resolve ASAP as I have an event in 2 weeks. I have ordered a replacement coil as I'm stuck for what it can be.

Many thanks

Kevin

Hi

Yes I have refitted the earth strap, fitted to the clutch housing and the engine steady bar against the bulkhead.

Many thanks

Have you got resister plugs in ? Can see the BP but can't make out whether there the R after that, also open the plug gaps upto 1mm. I run BPR7ES's in mine with a similar spec engine.
