Vr sensor issues - I think

Post by 1186497 »

Hi all

After a bit of help if possible as I'm stuck as to why my zetec installation won't start

I don't think I'm getting a spark spark which I'm putting down to the vr sensor. I've did the voltage checks stipulated on the website and I seem to be getting different voltages. When measuring the vr sensor and edis pins I'm getting 3.5v on both wires; I assume this isn't correct?

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks
Simon

Don't think there should be voltage on both wires. Have you checked the wiring harness for shorts? Use a multimeter in Ohm-measuring mode.

Try flipping the VR sensor polarity - this is a common solution to no-spark issues.
