Post Replace the distributor
After install of EDIS/Megajolt on Pontiac 400 I would like to remove the distributor. How then do I drive the oil pump?

You need a distributor blanking plug with a shaft that can still drive the oil pump. Check with hot-rod specialists like speedway motors or summit racing for something that might work. Short of that, a custom setup based off a modified distributor could work!

I've done that with success. You can find my installation along with at least another in the thread for wheel design.

Take note though, it seems vibrations in the engine has disrupted the cables from the sensor I used. I've replaced the sensor ones. And the same thing has reoccured. I will now try to mount a crankwheel. I had trouble finding a suitable position for the sensor on my engine block, and therefor opted for the rebuilt dizzy. But will now try to conjure up something anyhow.

That said, the rebuilt dizzy is a simple installation - and allows fine tuning the trigger point very easily.

Good luck !
