Megajolt with dual plug 6 cylinder?

Post by jinotown »

I am considering the Megajolt for my airboat engine. It is a Continental aircraft 520 cu. in. flat 6, with dual fixed-timing magnetos firing 12 plugs. Is there any trouble with the Ford units firing dual coils at once? The basic mechanical ignition and fuel injection is bullet-proof and performs OK. I would love some advanced tuning options and performance.

This should work fine: What you would want to do is run two EDIS-6 modules in parallel.

You would have 1 crank sensor feeding both modules and one Megajolt unit controlling both modules.

Thanks...I was wondering if one module would fire two coils at a time. I like the idea of two modules better.
