That just means the secondary (high-tension) side of the coil has a plug on each end of the windings, and that 1 plug fires on compression (boom), and one on exhaust (wasted).
It doesnt tell you anything about the primary side of the coil, which is what the EDIS is driving. "Smart" coils often have 3 or more wires to each coil. Dumb ones (not in the bad sense, just in that they dont have any built-in controller) usually only have 2 per dual-ended coil.. or 4-total if its in an integrated pack (like the Ford one).. one wire is a common power feed to all coils, and the other 3 are grounds for each seperate coil.
Chances are they're normal coils in your pack, since I dont think there were many integrated-electronics waste-spark systems made. most integrated-electronic systems are C.O.P. (Coil on/per Plug) types. but worth checking it out for sure with someone who knows the RB25 pack
