staying in the 100kPa area and as i apply throttle the numbers should be decreasing towards "0"

i'm running the MAP application in an NA setup (4AGE).

It's measured in absolute pressure. 100 KPa is wide open throttle, if normally aspirated. So, you should be idling in the 20-40 KPa range, and this varies widely by cam profile and timing, compression ratio, and of course, ignition timing.

this is strange then. when i idle it's in the 100KPa range but when i apply throttle, absolute pressure decreases...great....

So you're saying when you open the throttle the MAP reading drops?

Where are you tapping into a vacuum source? Do you have a manual vacuum gauge to compare vacuum reading to?

Is your MAP take off upstream of the throttle i.e in the plenum chamber or airbox?
