I'm a moron and trimmed the leads off my C1 and C2 before placing them on the board. I know they are polarized. Mine have gold rectangle outlines on one side. Is that + or -?

99% of the time the polarizing indicator is the negative side. so if you see something on the capacitor that looks like a "-", that's the negative side.

I do have them right. Now to figure out why the MJLJ won't connect to the pc (I've reviewed the software installation procedures several times). Any other ideas?
