Balancing act

Post by Paratime »

I believe that the V6 wheel that I used (96 Thunderbird, 3.8L) is only sold as an assembly with the harmonic balancer, sometimes called the vibration damper, even though it easily unbolts from the balancer. This part assembly is rather expensive, around $300. Even with shipping, it would be cheaper to buy a used one. There are several listed on http://car-part.com/ for less than $50.

Overview with pics

Post by dejmon45 »

Hi, I've put up a small page with trigger wheels compiled mostly from data posted here and something I found on the web. If you feel like it please check it out and drop me an e-mail if you have something to add:

I use this opportunity to appologize to those of you whose pics I've taken without asking. I primarily collected those for myself but then thought other people may also find some use...

Best,
Dean

Hey, great job on the page of pics. I have checked around more and confirmed that the 96 V6 wheel only comes with the balancer.
From Ford it is $326.83 P/N F6ZZ6B321A
