Hi,
Still not having any luck with the above wired in with my MJLJ - rev counter works fine on the original coil system, but no joy at all on the MJ.
I've tried 'pull-up' and 'pull-down' resistors on the i/p to the tacho and have even 'flashed' the tacho to see if +12v would have any effect; it doesn't, but still works perfectly fine on the conventional ign setup.
Anyone of you have any bright ideas 'cus i'm getting to the end of my tether with it now...
I drive by the tacho and I won't replace the tacho for an electronic one as I have it 'switch' wired into the conventional ign in case the MJ goes 'tits up' at any stage and all I then have to do is switch the two systems back and stick the oiginal HT leads on whilst i'm in the field.
Cheers,
Steve
