Megajolt installation

Post by robinlittle »

I am currently setting up a megajolt for a ford 302 v8 with the EDIS 8.

But I have setup on the bench with the trigger wheel turning in my lathe to simulate the input signal. but although I can read all the signals on my laptop with the software. I am getting a spark at all plugs but also seem to get a spark at all plugs when Megajolt unplugged and trigger wheel turning . Is this correct?

I did not expect to see this. All signal cables are screened.

Thanks in anticipation of your help

I will post my wiring diagram if it will help

Hi Robinlittle,

Yes, this is expected. with the megajolt disconnected you will see a fixed timing of 10 degrees. this is the EDIS module's "limp home mode" when it cannot communicate with the ECU (in this case, the megajolt).

Hope this helps,
