values wont commit to flash

Hi All, have fitted controller and set the engine configerations all ok, when i try to change shift light/rev limiter settings they do not stay in memory, i have now tried to adjust ignition advance settings it allows me to to change then i press the write new values and the flash icon comes on i press this and i comit to flash small writting appears "commited to flash" but if i power down then up again the values are back to original ?
