Sounds like the timing is miles out.

where did you fit the toothed wheel / sensor.

Remember the gap should pass the sensor 90 degrees before Top Dead Centre.

VPWR=Voltage PoWeR

i.e. The 12V supply from the ignition circuit.

Note that Ford used black for the 12V supply, not red as normal.

can you make a MAP to my engine? I would use this map as a starting point. I watching your configuration MAP of your engine, why you start with 24ºand then drops to 8º? To prevent the car from stalling (stopping) when it is cold or first started, when the revs drop to 800rpm, it get quite a bit of ...

In which case I would be better off splitting pins 6 & 7, and independently fusing each one.

Been thinking about this, in the context of the way I have the Rev Limiter module fitted. my coil pack is now powered Via the megajolt unit connector. i.e the supply comes in via Pins 7 & 6 feeds both the megajolt and rev limiter Internally. Because of this I fitted a 15 amp fuse on the feed ins...

Road testing

Just before xmas, I fitted the rev-limiter board to a V2 megejolt http://www.autosportlabs.org/viewtopic.php?t=1542 had a chance in the last few days to "road test" the unit. Findings are good, it does what it says on the tin. Started off with a 2000rpm limit and worked my way up from that...

Well the rain stopped long enough to allow me to retrieve the loom inside.
Once unwrapped I added a new wire to feed the coil pack, from the rev limiter, rather than the 12V supply line.
A few minutes later it was re-wrapped and ready to refit.

Installed on Version 2 board

Received my beta test unit from Brent yesterday. As I'm using a version 2 board, I thought I would show my installation method. I've gone for the hard wired approach, just incase the screw connectors came loose later. http://www.ken555.plus.com/gtm/images/leads.gif board with screw connectors remove...

With the dual map option and rev limiter module.

Just flash with a map with zero degree of advance. And the rev limter set to 500 rpm. ;)

Before leaving the car, switch to this map with a hidden switch.

Or

Fit a switch to the coil unit power.
