ford coil pack connectors
i gather that new connectors for the ford coil packs are expensive for what they are. i bought 2 coil pack in oz for the installation i am just completing, and neglected to even ask if they came with connectors. which they did not. so i bought small size spade connectors, crimped wire into them, put...

EDIS8 firing sequence
hi. i am just completing the wiring for an EDIS8 installation.
regarding the firing sequence, i presume the the EDIS fires the coil outputs in the sequence they are named ie A,B,C,D, but i cant see where that is stated in the documentation.
can someone confirm that is the case?
regards
alexander.

electric fuel pump safety shutoff
hi. just bumping this thread as i dont think i ever got around to mentioning it previously. while the above idea are workable for shutting off an electric fuel pump when the engine stops, the best solution is simply to buy safety relay as used on LPG installations. they are very common in australia ...

hi tim. no need to apologise for anything. this is a discussion forum, and i continue to read it because i like discussing things! so youre doing me a favour :) i think the logical step is definitely to determine exactly where the power is coming from ie which circuit. if it is indeed the correct wi...

wow! this is like one of those logic puzzle books... thoughts at the moment... i am thinking about this wire you have spliced into. what is that wire, and where else does it go? i would think it should be the wire that previously went to the coil, but if that is so, you would so much need to splice ...

The odd thing is that it seems to stop once there is some other current draw, such as the handbrake light coming on, and also the fact that the whole problem is intermittent. yes, that is curious, and i am still pondering the likely cause. my suspicion is that you are drawing power from some point ...

hi. i presume you mean the engine keeps running as if the key had not been turned off at all? so we know that - sometimes - the MJ continues to see battery voltage on its supply line, which runs from the battery via a relay. so i would be focussing on four possibilities: 1. the relay is faulty, and ...

hi. the answer is no, it makes no difference. after all, whatever the angle, the ignition events are still evenly spaced throughout the cycle UNLESS you happen to be looking at an odd-fire V6, of which there are some but not many. the ones i know of are the PRV (ie peugeot, renault, volvo) v8, and s...
