No spark, that's why I'm trying to narrow down why. But is it the Edis Module, the trigger signal, the coil, or the HD leads......

Ok. I turned on digital rpm gauge too, just to possible see any movement. But I guess it is around 300-400'ish whilst cranking. Any other way to confirm that either EDIS or MJLJ is recieving trigger from the trigger sensor ? I unplugged the cable coming from the sensor and confirmed that the sensor ...

Does rpm gauge show rpm whilst cranking ?

As the topic description says - does the rpm gauge show rpm whilst engine is cranking ? I'm trying to find a fault with my engine. It suddenly stopped running, and I'm suspecting no spark. It's a V3 MJLJ with v.3.3.2 Configurator. It communicates nicely with configurator, confirms TPS is working, te...

Yes, it fixed it self.... sort of. I think it was because I had washed the car and there was some how water somewhere around. Sorry for not posting back, I completely forgot to. TPS sensor is not shielded. At least not on my installation, and trying to recall - I don't think it is ever mentioned in ...

I can also confirm that that is the correct one. Same one I used. Make sure you don't get any vibration and "pulls" directly on the wires in the sensor ! I did on my, and wires came out at the socket of the sensor. I've now secured them properly to my converted dizzy so that there is no di...

Hi ! I used a 72-2 on my rebuilt dizzy. Reason were difficulties mounting a trigger wheel on the pulley, and NO where to mount the sensor. It works like a charm, and I can also fine tune position of trigger en relation to TDC. (I know one can do that with software to now....) Search in the "pow...

Drivers for USB-serial adapter for windows 7 ?

I'm looking for drivers for my USB-serial adapter. It is a the common ATEN UC232A adapter. I've really tried, and can't find any for windows7, and the ones for XP, Vista, 2000 etc don't work. Anyone knows where to find them ? http://www.amentio.no/media/cache/Images/3/1/WEB_ImagePLID331931_1Dim250x3...

Thanks, I'll try that and see. Battery is sound and new(ly charged) Ground is common for both MJLJ and EDIS. Is was thinking that the only common point both TPS and water-temp has is ground. Although sensor is grounded to engine and TPS to same ground as EDIS and MJLJ, I was reasoning that that woul...

I haven't had a cover made yet. I'm trying different solutions. Since the wheel extends beyond the flat base under it - I have to conjure up something that allows it to sit securely at a distance from the wheel but still attached to the dizzy.

So does my 1970 Alfa 4cyl engine - but on a converted dizzy.
It's in the gallery 'powered by..'

It works like a charm - and in addition I can fine tune and adjust the trigger point in relation to TDC. (I know one can do that with the configurator as well now....)

It uses the same sensor.

Firstly, why do you want to update the firmware ? If you bought a ready assembled it should have come with latest firmware ? (unless you've been told something else) Secondly, you need to set upp trigger wheel correctly in relation to TDC. Thirdly, it seems the MJLJ unit and EDIS isn't communicating...

Eratic reading from TPS and aux input when engine is running

I was going over my set-up and was recalibrating my TPS axis. Dial shows a nice steady increase when I use the throttle. But.... when I start the engine, it suddenly is very eratic. This was only with car standing still mind you (the only lap-top I have has a non-working battery, so needs to be supp...

1970 Alfa Romeo Junior Zagao

This is my 1970 Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato. It was bought in august 2005. It was immediately placed in a museum for a year. Suited me fine - having it stored and looked after in a warm dry place for a year. It was registered the day before my wedding and used at that occasion and for a short period th...
