Just guessing, but I think you'll only be able to get fuel mix % from the RCP input.. probably can't measure pulse width (or duty cycle) at the same time. Might be able to add the feature in a future firmware update though. I'm not familiar with the timer capture hardware in this micro. Frequency/Pu...

Also looking to find out what drives the MK1 bluetooth LED. I see it's wired to U2 (the BT chip) directly, but can't find a part number for U2 so I can look up a datasheet. I didn't notice anything in source related to the LED, so maybe it independently shows if it thinks it's paired and communicati...

In prior app logfiles, the app iterated across all three devices multiple times before finally connecting. This test, it just stopped and gave up. Seems hit-or-miss now. We hear ya. We had to make some changes to the app to support some new functionality coming in the 2.9.0 firmware so that is prob...

Looking at your logfile I see the unit listed: [AndroidComms] detected ports: MCM,BECAUSERACECAR,RaceCapturePro But it would appear that the app just doesn't get to it. What is "BECAUSERACECAR" on your tablet? From what I can see it got stuck on this device. MCM is a bluetooth receiver/am...

Okay, so today (after rebooting the tablet) it hooked up pretty quickly. Android tablet running 1.4.3 beta app, RCP MK1 running 2.8.7 .......... shut it all down, turn MK1 back on (powered via USB from AC adapter) and relaunch app - no top-line indication that it's trying to find a BT connection. Do...

sorry, been on a different planet for the past week. Tonight my app says 1.4.3 (beta program) but I haven't confirmed it does the same thing regarding connect time/delay. I should have time to do testing again this week.

In this thread https://www.autosportlabs.org/viewtopic.php?t=4665 we learned that some sensors want a pullup. What's the part # of your sensor, is it used in a production vehicle so we can see how the pro's wire it up?

I went off and did something else for 10-20 minutes and eventually my 2.8.7 MK1 connected to the app over bluetooth. Hoping the next release gets it back to where it used to connect quickly. On the bright side, when it's running and then gets disconnected (powercycling MK1) the reconnect is quick an...

Does it show 5V thru the app, or will it log 5V for battery if you hit the button and run a short log? What hardware (MK1 or MK2) do you have? I haven't wired my MK1 to anything other than vehicle power thru a cigarette lighter cable - all the other connections are vacant.

I'd say you're operating from USB power instead of vehicle 12V power.. but when I do that, mine shows as about 4.2-4.3V and not the full 5.

I have a background in electrical engineering, but have been a software engineer for some years, so my knowledge is a bit rusty (and close to non existent for vehicles). I've heard of eliminating engine noise for speakers, not sure how that relates to my RCP setup. (In case this counts, I just made...

Ok. Will wait for the RCP config file. How did you map it exactly (the exact process you used)? How many sample points did you take? I will be able to see this from the config file. Also... I don't suppose that the voltage values shift with the engine running. Have you tried just to eliminate engin...

From http://www.bmw-planet.com/diagrams/release/us/e60e61/index.htm it looks like pin 2 is the output, front & rear signals are named DGR1 and DGR2. But the diagram doesn't show the power/common connections... http://rb-aa.bosch.com/boaasocs/index.jsp;jsessionid=86C5697FAFE16423DA73707B2C59CB30....

I'm using the MK1. Does the MK1 have the hysteresis rejection built in? The signal looks pretty clean to me but I really don't know what I am doing here. If you zoom in the timebase on your scope, you might see some noise on the falling edge, or the rising edge. If there's noise, even one really br...
