I find it like driving into a great big, squishy pillow on the road, the power just backs right off. Again, this is a 998cc Mini with a stage one kit - so barely enough power and rev-band to hurt itself without the limiter in the first place. A mate's 1293 stage 3 is much the same though, simply lik...

That's by far the easiest way to work it out, and clearly worded.
It takes into account all variables, ansd irrespective of EDIS4, 6 or 8.

Hold on mate, one KiloPascal is 1000 pascals, not 100. Doesn't that make 0.133Kpa in your case?

That's correct.
The easiest way:
Mount the sensor in it's bracket, and turn the engine to exactlye TDC, stick the trigger wheel on the pulley with the missing tooth aligned with the sensor, then turn the trigger wheel 9 teeth in the engine's normal rotation. That is where it needs securing.

Unfortunately the trigger wheel configuration is dictated by Ford's EDIS unit, not the MJLJ ECU - and it'll only work with 36-1.
Does your flywheel have a reluctor ring you can remove and alter, or is it drilled/machined with teeth?

BLMC 998cc stg1 map

A great starter map for a Stage1-tuned 998cc BLMC A-series motor.
The rev limiter is set a bit high, but in this state of tune you'd be lucky to ever need it!

27mm, or 1 1/16" - depending what your motor factor stocks. Mine's 27mm, don't tell Jamie ;) It's strangely satisfying removing the dizzy drive spindle once and for all too.
As for my mobile, I suspect it's my personal number you've got and I can't find my phone...

Now then you sheep shagger! Glad to see you've got it all in okay, I trust the EDIS stuff Carl and I salvaged was up to the job! Try PMing Knoxy on MF to get his map. It's a 1293, but otherwise virtually indentical in spec to Chester - perhaps less the cam, but it'll do reet to get Laurence ro...

If the RPM reading goes crazy, it's most likely the VR sensor is vibrating due to a lees than rigid bracket. Am i right in thinking this happens roughly at a particular engine speed?

Can you look at the runtime data for rpm spikes? It sounds like a rattly VR sensor to me. It must be absolutely rigidly fixed.

I basically started looking at MJLJ out of curiosity and it's now up and running VERY successfully. On a tired 104k 998cc Mini, I get: 1 - perfect starting EVERY time 2 - off choke withing 30seconds 3 - rock-solid idle 4 - crisper acceleration and throttle response 5 - pulls happily past 80mph, used...

A bit of a brainstorm here - Could you not try using one of the programmable outputs? It'll show the tachymetric relay contact to ground, but constant rather than pulsed. You can then set the output to trigger at a really low RPM, then as long as the engine's cranking or running so the pump will be....

MAP takeoff hose union, UK source

I've been mooching to find a small MAP hose takeoff fitting for cast inlet manifolds and carb spacers (most folk seem to stock only BSP-threaded types that need a huge hole and BSP tap). I found this - Click this , then do a ctrl+f and type in MHM5/4MM Perfect for anyone struggling to find a MAP sou...

To run carbs you'll simply need six carbs, a manifold to carry them and a linkage (best to be adjustable) to open and close them in perfect unison. One and a half sets of Yamaha R1 Mikunis would be a good place to start. The standard fuel pump and supply/return lines should be plenty to start with. ...

998cc Mini

I've really been looking forward to being able to post in this section, so here it is. I've had the full system running for a couple of weeks now and I'm more impressed than I thought I could be! The idle's improved, starting's improved, the throttle response is better, and even with an amateur map ...
