That's by far the easiest way to work it out, and clearly worded.
It takes into account all variables, ansd irrespective of EDIS4, 6 or 8.

That's correct.
The easiest way:
Mount the sensor in it's bracket, and turn the engine to exactlye TDC, stick the trigger wheel on the pulley with the missing tooth aligned with the sensor, then turn the trigger wheel 9 teeth in the engine's normal rotation. That is where it needs securing.

Unfortunately the trigger wheel configuration is dictated by Ford's EDIS unit, not the MJLJ ECU - and it'll only work with 36-1.
Does your flywheel have a reluctor ring you can remove and alter, or is it drilled/machined with teeth?

A great starter map for a Stage1-tuned 998cc BLMC A-series motor.
The rev limiter is set a bit high, but in this state of tune you'd be lucky to ever need it!

27mm, or 1 1/16" - depending what your motor factor stocks. Mine's 27mm, don't tell Jamie It's strangely satisfying removing the dizzy drive spindle once and for all too.

If the RPM reading goes crazy, it's most likely the VR sensor is vibrating due to a lees than rigid bracket. Am i right in thinking this happens roughly at a particular engine speed?

Can you look at the runtime data for rpm spikes? It sounds like a rattly VR sensor to me. It must be absolutely rigidly fixed.

I basically started looking at MJLJ out of curiosity and it's now up and running VERY successfully. A bit of a brainstorm here - Could you not try using one of the programmable outputs? It'll show the tachymetric relay contact to ground, but constant rather than pulsed. You can then set the output to trigger at a really low RPM, then as long as the engine's cranking or running so the pump will be....
