Eh.... how ? Have you wired or in any way connected the aux pin on the processor to an output? Or to the case for that matter ?
Sounds really weird ?

I can report the same problem with running outputs off Aux - though my aux input has only been my finger so far.
Interresting to note more with the same problems.

How did you use your finger !?!

Re: PTC or NTC

magicecu wrote:Hi can any one tell me whether the coolant temperature sensor used for the AUX Input has to be a PTC to work with the default voltage scaling ADC, and is this what the sensor described as for example in the Vehicle Installation Guide GM 12146312 ?
What is PTC ?

Re: Aux input reverse voltage

Hi i have fitted a coolant temperature sensor to a V4 and i`am receiving a higher reading when the water cools . How can i change the voltages around in the AUX INPUT CHANNEL OPTIONS so i can keep the gauge scaling aspect the same , left to right? In the configurator go to 'auxiliary input options'...

Thank you for doing that. I'll investigate further. Note, with the calibration you can map the values in such a way that you can 'invert' the readings. i.e. ADC 0 = mapped value 255 ADC 1 = mapped value 254 ... ... ADC 255 = mapped value 0 In the meantime feel free to test out the ignition correcti...

Re: Run Time data analysis

I can see the ignition anvance and Kpa load with revs but don't understand what i am looking at/for with the RPM and Load acceleration. Here is a section just as the car backfired. Any thoughts? Can you be a bit more clear ? Do you mean - what should I be looking for. Or do you mean, what does all ...

Patriq, While you were testing the temperature sensor, did you bring up the Aux input gauge in the configuration software while you were monitoring the voltage on the ADC pin? Also, did you change the aux input scaling to reflect the temperature curve of your sensor, or are you using the default sc...

By the way. Are all these features stable and working properly on the V4 board ?
Is it only v 3.3 that isn't totally bug free ?

As a side track. Could anyone care to comment on my graph. Does it seem to be linear, or ....not ?
To me it doesn't seem linear. It's steeper in the start to me.

Ok, I tried again. I set output 1 to AUX normal and 45 dgs, and output 2 to AUX inverted and 45 dgs. Then 'write ignition configuration' Sensor at roomtemperature, nothing happens. Poor on boiling water, nothing happens. wait a minute..... the 'write ignition configuration' button has lit up again. ...

Remembered reading about it when I was doing my MegaSquirt the first time.
Then, when I needed ignition for the current project, I searched for MegaJolt and found Brent site.

And, I'm very impressed with the whole project !

What happens if you set configurable output to 60C (or whatever) but normal, not inverted? Do the "lights" in the configurator lit up, or not? When I tried it does not activate, I described here: http://www.autosportlabs.org/viewtopic.php?p=11253&sid=1d7bc9399757c0b32a8c79faff2605a0#1...

Here is a graph that shows temperature reading at each bin from 99 down to 2 degrees Celsius. I miss some values - therefor the spikes.
Somehow it seems that it's not linear, is it ?

Ok. I've now started to test the aux input with my V3 board. I simply put the sensor connected to the aux input and read the temperature corresponding to the voltage reading for each bin and entered it from 0dgsC to 99dgsC. It took a little while, but was interesting to follow. I then tried it out w...
