the tach cutting out above
the tach cutting out above 3000 was caused by the voltage being to high when using the diode adapter circuit, what volts does it show at 3000?

i wasnt sure whether the cylinder configuration would alter how the mjlj talked to the edis, with brents software you change it to correspond with the edis module your using. will your software be ok with 6 or 8 cylinder edis modules as well as the 4?

how do you change the cylinder number on your software David? i cant get it to change from the default 0 cylinders
PS. i think your right about the serial on the axim, i help tune several peoples mjlj cars so fitting a special input for my pda would be a bit of a pain...

just read the other thread, David, where did you get your axim pug from that you used to make up your lead? i tried the pocket tuning software on my new axim x50v, looks good! as soon as i can sort a lead out i can play with it on my car, ( done well over 10 000 mjlj miles) i would love a definitive...

is that the 232 chip on the mjlj? or have you opened up your pda? i see you can buy serial adapter cable would that work, or would the voltage still be too high? i am writing this from my newly aquired x50v!

oops i must have read the site wrong, i thought you could just view the mljl settings, not program the unit directly from a pda. can you recomend a good pda, i dont know alot about them, i would also like to use gps with it too, thanks, Josh
