nearly all Fords from 1990 to 1995 will have the parts you need. later ones don't have the EDIS modul but all other parts. you can use all parts you can find, don't worry about the differences. it seems they only count with the factory engine ECU. i found the Escort is the easiest to remove the part...

if you use the Nippon Seiki 3 clock setup the 3 instruments are connected at the back with a pcb foil, just like the older Smith ones. you have just 2 connectors at the back of the tacho, one is 12volts (the spade, IIRC) and one is ignition puls (the round one). via the foil there is ground, it is c...

the green/orange is power to the tacho, needs connecting to a switched 12V source as done by the factory. the tacho is grounded by the pcb foil at the back.
and as you already know the white/black gets the impulses from the coil or the MJLJ

You should use resistor plugs or resistor leads. If neither are resistive, you will be interfering with a lot of people's radios and TVs :( no, i won't  i use wires with very good EMI suppression (you don't have to use resistive wire to get this). they are so good that we had massive problems...

the nineth tooth is right for 4 cylinder engines, sixth for 6 cylinder.

maybe you have connected the ignition cables to the wrong cylinders, sounds like its fireing into the intake stroke

yes, with connected MAP sensor you can get much better mileage at part throttle (assuming you full throttle curve is correct, if not tweaking it will help, too)

maybe not helpfull:
i just found that Porsche uses 2 knock sensors with the 6 cylinder aircooled Boxer engine. and they mounted them to small aluminium bars and the bars are screwed to the cylinder housings.
