Add time/distance graph

Hi,

There is no time/distance graph. This can be useful when comparing to laps that are not in Podium (such as a youtube video, other loggers etc)

Seems like the distance/elapsedtime channels are hidden

Hi, What year is your 996? From the description it sounds like perhaps a bad connection, where it loses electrical connection and then connects again. Does the module fit firmly in the port of the car, or is it a bit loose? The OBDII port doesn't have a strong latch and might come loose easily - a ...

The aspect ratio of the display should be 16:9 for ideal layout; it sounds like your display is a 4:3 based on a resolution. Do you have a link for the display? Good point! It was some ebay display. I think the standard RPI display will be better it's 800x480, https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/the-e...

Hi, The track detection occurs when GPS gets a lock; it should not be related at all to OBDII function. If you're getting scrambled data on the SD card, make sure you have a freshly formatted (FAT32) card inserted, and try again. https://wiki.autosportlabs.com/RaceCaptureLoggingData What OBDII chan...

RCP MK2: Track detection doesn't work when powered from OBD

Hi, The track detection didn't work when I had the RCP MK2 powered and connected to my OBD2. As soon as I disconnected the OBD and powered the RCP from another power source the track detection worked perfectly. The OBD power data seemed to be flaky as well. I could only have 2 OBD channels otherwise...

How to fix bluetooth issues with Samsung Galaxy S8

Hi,

I had some issues connecting my S8 to RCP. To fix it I had to:

1. Open the Application settings
2. Select show system apps
3. Stop bluetooth
4. Disable/Enable bluetooth.

Galaxy S8 bluetooth seems to suffer from a bad bluetooth implementation, there are post of all kinds of issues with the S8.

Customize the dash

Hi,

It seems like you can customize and add whatever gauges you can but there is no way to change the layout?

So you are stuck with the predefined 3x,5x,8x gauges layout.

For me it would be enough if the .kv files and .png background files could be edited.

7" 800x600 display to small for dash? (RPI display)

Hi, Based on your experience would a 7" 800x600 display be to small/lowres to be used as a combined dash and laptimer? I want to show the following: - Big oil temp - Big coolant temp - Room for warning oil pressure light - Lap time - Small fuel level - Small fuel pressure - Small oil pressure T...

Downside powering MK2 from USB?

Hi,

Is there a downside of powering the RCP from the USB port? I guess there is the issue with USB connectors being loose but besides that is it identical?

Some of the battery packs can deliver ~2A should be enough

Fit Raspberry pi in RCP Mk2??

Hi,

I am curious if anyone has thought about fitting a RPI into a RCP2?

The Raspberry and RCP is a killer combo but RPI comes without a case.

RacecapturePro mk1 vs mk2 vs mk3

Hi,

Is there page that shows the differences between them?

I tired google the forum and the site but I couldn't find a good comparison. The Mk3 is a little outside my budget but I might be able to get a hold of a Mk1.

Thanks
