Alright, alright, alright...I've answered my own question. My CANBUS script set the maximum value to 105 for MAP. Here is the script: --add your virtual channels here --addChannel(<name>, <sample rate>, [logging precision], [min], [max], [units label]) rpmId = addChannel("RPM", 10, 0, 0, 8...

Race Capture App - Gauge Scale CANBUS data Question

I have a RCP MkIII and am running the RCP app on a Kindle Fire. App and firmware are latest versions available as of 2 weeks ago. I have been successful mapping several CANBUS channels from a microsquirt. The challenge I am having has to do with being able to scale the gauge on the dashboard. For ex...

Got the freedompop sim, installed it, configured it, cycled the power a couple of times, and, it works! Before I could get it to work, however, I had to toggle a number of settings having to do with data logging and background streaming. Honestly, I am very confused as to how this is all to work. Th...

ATT SIM

Just got off the phone with ATT. They tell me that my SIM card is 4G/LTE and not 3.5G as I requested when I got it at the ATT store. Further, they tell me that they cannot provision the SIM to 3.5G and rather I have to go back to a store and get a new 3.5 SIM. Does this correlate to others' experien...

Micro SD Card size and data speed

If I want to log engine data (temps, pressures, RPM, AFR, MAP, etc) plus driver data (GPS, speed, brake pressure, steering angle) for an 8 hour endurance race how large of a micro SD card do I need? Assume I am capturing data at normal frequencies for the given sensor. For example, will something li...

Here is what I have setup for fuel level. The trouble is that I don't believe (but don't really know) that there is 10 gallons of fuel in the car. It is entirely possible but I am not certain.

I will get a screen shot up as soon as I can get to the car. I am not able to easily manually manipulate the fuel level sender as it is installed in the tank and a huge hassle to get to.

Everything seems to be working great with the exception of the fuel level sender. This is what I have wired: https://i.imgur.com/UlXwyt0.jpg Before I put the fuel sender in the tank, I connected it to a multimeter and measured the resistance with the float at the top (full - 2.6 ohms) and bottom (em...

Thank you. This is helpful. I got through a lot via trial and error. Also, working from my laptop helped a ton. One of the things that I did that moved me along was to simply monitor voltages to make sure everything was connected properly. Once I did this I found a wiring mistake. After the wiring w...

Analog Sensor Setup for RCP3

I've looked through the website and have not found any documentation about setting up analog sensors. Here is what I have: Oil Pressure - 0-100 psi 3 wire sensor Oil Temperature - GM style with 2.2k pull up resistor Coolant Pressure - 0-30 psi 3 wire sensor Fuel Rail Pressure - 0-100 psi 3 wire sens...
