Yeah worked fine. Only issue I have experienced is if you shut off the engine it tends to "stick" at the last running RPM. However once the engine starts again it all works again.

I hacked the script to work with the latest version of RCP as well. Loads ok and I can do analysis but has anyone had any luck getting GEMS to recognize the lap data. I read the GEMS manual and it seems to want some beacon codes in the file but i don't know how i might do that.

RCP Dash Display no longer updating

I am running RCP software on a Win 7, firmware 2.7.8. This morning I was playing around with some of the gauge config parameters and now none of the fields update on the dashboard screen that shows all the fields. Yet on the other screens (with the gauges) I get changing data. I have tried reinstall...

Thanks for the info. As its protected I think my best bet might be to take the Tach signal directly from the 12v square wave off the MSD ignition controller. It worked with my old ChaseCam logger. I was just worried about the 12v v 5v mismatch.

Hi from NorCal LeMons racer

Hi guys. Just in the process of upgrading from ChaseCam setup to RCP for my CrapCan racer. Looking to get it all done for the March Sonoma race. Hope you see some of you up there.

Tapping existing Tach line

I'm new to this so bear with me. I have an MSD 6AL Ignition Controller and it outputs a tach line - delivers 12V square wave. Can I tap directly in to this for RPM on RCP or do I need some sort of resistor to reduce voltage down to 5V.
