That capacitor measured 0.25 ufd here. Probably a good quality cap, able to survive & help suppress some of the spikes in a vehicle system. Like microsecond 300V spikes from the starter. I'd say, its "good engineering practice" to keep it; Ford thought it was worth the cost. Bruce Roe

Fuses have some voltage drop, esp as they get older. And they add some unreliability to a critical circuit. I prefer to use fuseable links in engine stuff, like the OEM does. A pretty light link would handle this load. Bruce Roe

I am still stumbling along, trying to figure out the ENGINE TEMP feature. First thing is, apparently it needs to be CREATED under the TOOLS section, not just called in the VIEW section. There are ACD VALUE and VOLTAGE columns; I think ACD is the digital value for the AUX input voltage under VOLTAGE....
