One small pick up i can see which you seemed to have correct on a previous post is that on EDIS 6, you have named the columns of coils A, C, B (in order). Yet they fire ACB but the way you have drawn the arrows it now goes A, B, C. Good point, i thought it would be more intuitive that way, but as t...

A simple Megajolt "diag light" indicator
I wanted to have some kind of unobstrusive diag light for my 240Z installation to check if the Megajolt is still working or if am running in limp home mode. What i did was to install a retro style bulb signal light indicator, wired to user out 1, in the 240Z's air condition switch housing (the air c...

EDIS6 DIY Chart
I did a little do it yourself chart to document the spark plug wiring. If you have the fire order for your engine (as example 1-5-3-6-2-4) you just fill in each cylinder of the fire order in the sequence on the chart - presto! If that works for you guys i could do the same with the EDIS-4 and EDIS-8...

EDIS6 Coil pack and spark wire/cylinder assignment
Hi, after being confused for a little while i seem to have worked out the spark wire order for the EDIS6 coil pack. Assuming that others installing an EDIS6 coil pack might encounter the same issues, i have put some firing orders in a table below, hope it helps. Let me know if anything is wrong. The...

... We also installed a Hyfire 6AL in a race bred 2.4 litres high reving engine and did some rolling road tests and there was no improvement in torque and horsepower (got an additional 5 NM at 3000 rpm, well ok) ... Ignore this statement, i messed this up a bit by not comparing the air temperature ...

Rolling Road Tuning, How To?
Sorry, if this is a FAQ, i would like to know how tuning/configuration of a Megajolt system on a rolling road is done. I understand that the basic principle is to put the car on the rolling road, check the torque and power output for each RPM entry in the configuration software (1000, 2000..., your ...

To the best of my knowledge, multi spark ignition was invented by Christopher Jacobs (Jacobs Electronics) and that patent has expired a long time ago. MSD, Mallory and Crane all do multi spark capacitive ignition systems. Havent read the patent docs so it might be that the patent applied to the comb...
