Hello Ryan, Thanks for the response. I found out that the problem comes from my Bluetooth/RS232 adaptor. It connects with the MJ all right, retreives the configuration but somehow can not write a new one so that's why the commit to flash button is disabled. I get "timeout writting ignition conf...

Commit to flash always inactive

Hello. For some weird reason, I can no longer "commit to flash". The button is greyed out and inactive. Everything else is fine, good coms between the PC and Megajolt module, can read and write maps but just can't commit anything to flash. Can anybody help? I am using V3.3.2 configurator a...

Being a sound engineer myself, and considering the fact that knock signals are located in the high frequency spectrum, I would think that a DSP platform with parametric filtering and EQ would offer a more accurate way to detect and quantify knock events. You can now easely get mini DSP modules that ...

Hello Brent, I bought it in the UK from Merlin Wireless but I guess that in the US, you can go direct to www.sena.com . It works great. Its performance is not affected by the HV sparks. Very steady transmission. I am actually using the SD200 with the battery pack which may help reducing interferences.

OK problem solved. The solution was to make a cable with pin 2 and 3 swapped around. Works great now.

bluetooth/RS232 adapter

Hello, My new laptop does not have a serial port. I have purchased a Parani SD200 serial to blutooth adaptor with battery pack that works real well with all of my RS232 controlled devices except one of course! My MegaJolt V3 does not comunicate with this device. I did set the baud rate at 4800 , no ...

Dear Brent,

Thank you for your quick response. I had never thought about it that way but it makes sense. However, I guess connecting the ground should maximise the voltage drop in the gap and therefore generate a stronger spark. Maybe it is something that can't be seen by a naked eye...

spark intensity and grounding

hello, I have built a test bench for my megajolt/EDIS 6 setup. It works a treat. However, I find it weird that lifting the ground off the spark plugs produces no effect. It looks like the spark plugs can be grounded or not, it makes no difference in the spark. Isn't that weird? Has anyone noticed th...
