I'm intrigued by the 72 tooth spur gear you linked. I've been looking for one for a rotary application that is currently in the works. Like others have already mentioned Dean924 has a bit of experience with a similar setup on his Porsche using a VR pick up form an RX7 distributor IIRC. He's had on g...

With a larger dia. 36-1 trigger wheel, it may be possible to place the lead VR sensor at the prescribed 90° (9 teeth) and the trailing VR sensor at 85-80°(8.5 to 8 teeth).

I still haven't tried testing this on a drill press but going over the setup this should work. Here's my understanding of the transaction and why I believe it should work: 1. Lead VR sensor sees the missing tooth go by (i.e. 90°) before TDC 2. He goes and hands the information to MJLJ 3. MJLJ takes ...

It does appear that 2 MJ units would be necessary for this to work properly siting what Spokie previously sited himself regarding synchronous PIP signals, etc...

Even though it would be the extra cost of a second MJLJ unit it would achieve the desired output.

^^ In addition to Megajolt2, the next prototype hardware design will be the Megajolt/C "Coil on Plug"- specifically designed to work with coil packs having built in drivers (or use an external driver board). Targeting 8 outputs and dual VR sensor inputs for cam synchronization. I took a q...

Would the ZealDB1-K VR conditioner daughterboard which employs 2 LM1815 ICs be a compatible option for our Megajolts for such a task?

I see.

So my next question would be; how would one go about incorporating the LM1815 with the MJLJ in order to see upwards of 9k and above in the rpm range? Is the method available to lay users like myself?

Is the limitation due to the EDIS module(s) or the VR Sensor(s) or both? Would amplifying the VR signal enable reaching rpms of 9K and above?

And back to the original subject, is the EDIS-8 a viable option for sequential ignition as I "postulated ;)"?
