Once again thank you Brent.

seems the connector on the EDIS module is a little iffy and had some green corrosion in it, pulled the oins out and cleaned them up and all is ok.

the red locking tab is a little week so i will try and get another.

Thank you for the reply Brent.

I am sure polarity is ok and as mentioned when i start to crank i have signal, while still cranking and after a second or two signal is cutting out, i tried polarity just encase and i got no tacho pulse at all.

I will go over all signals again.

Thanks for that, but i have not moved the sensor since it was running, i will see if if can get my hands on another sensor for testing with.

I have a feeling it has to be somthing i have done with moving my wiring around, just weird why i get a pulse and then it stops.

Hi all, I have my VR sensor lined up on the 9th tooth from the missing tooth on my EDIS4 system and car runs great. however when i put my timing light on the car and set the MJLJ to 0 and using my snap on timing light scroll to "0" to see how close i have the point for my sensor i am right...

Ok, So i fitted Resistor plugs and swapped to my original cable and it works, however it does occasionally lock up, but i think it is the PC not the MJLJ software. I am using BP7ES plugs and have done for ages with the MJLJ.
I will try resistor plugs tonight.

just dont understand as it all used to work ok, that is why i think it could be the laptop.

well no luck, same thing all ok while engine is not running, can adjust anything and everything for long periods of time, played for 10 mins minimmum. as soon as i started the car 5 or seconds and bam froze MJLJ program, would not restor communication and had to reboot PC twice before it would work ...

it looks like i had a dud USB in my laptop.

I removed and reinstalled the driver and operation is now perfect.
