Mmmm. phpbbgarage may be a bit more than needed but a good idea.
Sometning along the lines of the more limited make/model as used on classiczcars.com may be easier for Brent to incorporate.
My experience of website design tells me it may not be all that easy to add to the existing site.

Nissan L28 KHGC110 240K GT hardtop
2800cc, LPG (autogas or propane+butane+'who-knows-what') fuel, moderate 276 degree cam, stainless +3mm exhaust valves, stock intake valves, supercharged, headers. Liberal use of metallic/ceramic coatings throughout the engine. MJLJ with v3.1. using 'option' input to switch between safe road and deve...

V4 board suggestions
As there will eventually be a board update at some time, here are a couple of suggestions. 1. Reposition the Molex connector toward the opposite side of the case to make space available on the end plate for a bulkhead vacuum port in line with the sensor to eliminate stress. There should be no need t...

Brent, Like KLAS, I would prefer to get only the parts I need. After many years experience in electronics applied to ATV's and extreme environments I have my own preferences and regard some of the components specified as being inadequate. Mind you, for the small difference between the complete kit a...

Dropping Paypal just might be one of the dumbest moves you could make. Having gone through the hassles involved with credit card fraud with an overseas supplier I'm not about to give ANYONE credit card details. Four months of fighting through courts and a complete restructuring of banking arrangemen...

Ford coilpacks
The real problem is when a lead or coilpack fails for any reason then you're screwed - no Ford EDIS type replacements available locally either new or used. All Ford modulars in Oz are COP. We don't have a Boss 5.0, ours is a Boss 5.4. Dang, Ford Australia didn't even HAVE a V8 of any description fro...

other coilpacks
A bit off topic but I guess they do have ignition leads after all!! Kawasaki Vulcan VN1500's have a neat pair of coils normally used to fire the twin plug design, as do a number of Japanese designed machines. I have a pair running wasted spark with MS2 on a 4cyl, works a treat. Tried it with EDIS4 a...

Alternate to leads
I'm also in Australia and really didn't want to get into 'unobtanium' leads for my EDIS6 or EDIS8 installations, so I found a better way. Instead of the Ford coilpack/s, for EDIS6 use a Chrysler Caravan 6cyl coilpack or for EDIS8 use two Chrysler Neon coilpacks. Both are obtainable in Australia if y...

I posted on another
I posted on another thread: quote: A different solution on a V3 that works for me was: 1 install a 1k resistor across zener diode D1 (under the board) 2 drive the option input from a switched 'ignition' source through a 120R resistor The 1k ensures port B7 will go to 0 when the switch is off and the...

Silcoset is unfortunately
Silcoset is unfortunately only available in relatively large quantities. A litre just to do one board is a bit hard to justify for most people. The only problem we've had with candle wax is it has too low a melting point for our Australian environment. Beeswax (available from about any craft shop) h...

coatings
The material most suited is called a 'conformal coating' and is very often a moisture resistant and flexible material suited to tropical environments. Can be had in rattle cans for easy spray on application although most succesful in a dip form (ie dip the whole board in the stuff). Electronics outl...

High vibration environment builds
For those intending using an MJLJ in an offroader (or similar). Put a small dab of hotmelt glue on both sides of the voltage regulator, on one side of the electrolytic capacitors and on both sides of the pressure sensor. Do NOT use silicone sealer, ALL of them produce some acid. In an emergency even...

Pushed for speed
Correct in that we were using very high baud rates, less critical with lower baud rates. Some of our cables are in excess of 200m and in a very noisy electrical environment (lots of RF!). I have looked at Sipex but no experience - no Aus outlet & not enough motivation to import. Appears that the...
