Have been looking more into it, the processor has only 2 hardware-based pwm channels, but surely with the low speed pwm frequencies that the transmissions are using there would be no problem using software-based pwm.

The megajolt board has 4 extra control lines that can control anything almost...this is enough to control many automatic transmissions, namely the AODE (4R70w) ford overdrive 4-speed automatic. There are 2 shift solenoids that control which gear to shift, a pwm-controlled line pressure solenoid, and...

I think he means will the efi computer still control injection if it sees that ignition that it is supposed to be controlling isn't working?

I was wondering about this myself, though its with the eec-iv control instead of the toyota, both weren't designed for distributorless ignition systems.

You know, why not modify the digikey bom to use the can type transistors? The ones i had solder right on, the pcb has the perfect pattern for these can type already...no bending pins..etc. Didn't seem like there was much price difference either. There is no way to mess up when you're installing thes...

Brent, I work at a research place that has a cnc waterjet machine perfect for cutting the end panels. I would have to pay a very small amount to the shop for the grit used, but would be way cheaper than a machine shop could do it for. If you're interested, let me know and i'll see what it would cost...

I have literally thousands of the 1n4001 part, would it work the same, would save me a bit from ordering parts. I also have over 300 max232cpe chips if anybody is interested
