4 cylinder dual plug question

Can I use the EDIS 8 system to work for dual plugs on a 4 cylinder engine? If so what would the pinout be for the connectors.

Thanks

Got it apart but want new pins

Thanks for the help to get this thing apart, Anybody have a part # for the pins? would like to put in new pins and not have to put a butt splice on the old wires.

EDIS 4 Connections

Hi, I am getting close to hooking up the EDIS, took the connector part off and found the molex type pins all corroded. I was able to pop the back end (one with the wires) off but can't seam to figure out how to remove the pins. The one on the front that is red has two small holes in it but would not...

want to add a photo of my installation

I am mounting the VR Sensor and trigger wheel as shown in this photo. It is on a Continental 0200. Guess it would not paste into this post.

clockwise again

Well Matt, I am glad it is working for you. However, when two different author's describe the same thing different is is very confusing. With all the members of this group saying they are having problems and are confused something needs to be changed in the directions to make it simplier. I don't ca...

clock watchers also

This is my confusion also. with a clockwise engine is BTDC clockwise or counterwise? i would assume it is counterwise. but Brent said clockwise.

it confused me for a while also

Josh, doing it the way you did would it matter if the sensor was 90 degrees BTDC or ATDC on edis4?. I am getting confused on the TDC location of before or after. On a clockwise engine I assume BTDC would be at 3 o'clock and not 9 o'clock if the TDC is straight up.

It's tricky

Still confused. If the engine is at TDC #1, and the mark is straight up, Do you mean the trigger wheel missing tooth should be at 9 o'clock and 90 degrees away from the TDC mark?, With the engine turning clockwize isn't the 9 o'clock position ATDC? That's why I thought it should be at the 3 o'clock ...

Missing tooth 90 degrees before sensor location

Brent: I know this must have been discussed many times but is still confusing me.Here is the paste of your comments. For example, for an EDIS-4 application, with the engine at TDC, if the missing tooth is aligned with TDC (pointing up, or aligned with the crank pulley key), the sensor should be alig...

1.9 Escort Wheel

I used the stock Escort wheel, removed it from the harmonic balancer which was very easy, Then machined a step on my hub to fit the inside diameter of the trigger wheel. Looked at the picture of the plasma cut wheel and it is very rough and not as wide as the Ford origional. I personally would not g...
